Photo/Video Editing

Video Editing
Video editing today is accessible for virtually anyone. With all the free tools out there, you can even create an entire movie on an iPhone - see the video below. The standard video editor for Microsoft Windows is MovieMaker (free download, just Google it). For Mac, it's iMovie. Our class will be on a Windows platform, so we'll be using MovieMaker in class.

Photo Editing
The computers in both Mrs. Leonard's room and the Media Center have Adobe Photoshop loaded on them. Photoshop is one of the main software applications used by graphic designers out in the "real" world. It is robust and complicated, but you can do a lot with it if you take the time to tinker and learn. There are also free online services that allow you to do basic editing, and let's not forget apps like Instagram that allow you to change your photo right from your phone.
